Nine Schools in Uttarakhand Close for Two Days Following Tiger Attack Near Village School

In response to a recent tiger sighting and an attack on a student, authorities in Jakhnidhar Tehsil of Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district have ordered the closure of nine schools and all Anganwadi centers in Dwarikhal on September 23 and 24. The decision was made by Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan after the sub-district magistrate and block education officer reported the incident, citing the need to protect students. The tiger was spotted near the government primary school in Thangar village, where the attack occurred.
