Iowa’s private Catholic schools have seen a record surge in enrollment this year, with over 25,000 new students, thanks to the state’s voucher program. Two-thirds of these students are using Educational Savings Accounts (ESAs) to cover tuition. The $320 million initiative has allowed families to access private education, driving a 3% growth in schools like Xavier Catholic Schools. The influx also brought greater diversity, with more non-white and special education students enrolling.
