In a recent surprise inspection in Agartala, at least 20 school teachers, including a headmistress and four teachers-in-charge, were issued show-cause notices for neglecting their duties. Teachers were found resting while students were left unsupervised during school hours. The notices were issued by the Director of Elementary Education, demanding explanations for their actions within three days.
