US education dept cracks down on Stanford and other universities over race-conscious practices

The U.S. Department of Education recently issued directives to federally funded institutions, including Stanford, mandating the end of race-based practices in admissions, hiring, financial aid, and campus life. This follows the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling against race-based affirmative action. Universities are required to comply within two weeks or face potential loss of federal funding. Stanford is reviewing the guidelines.

RRB CBT 2 tentative exam schedule released: Check important dates and other details

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has announced the tentative dates for the Computer Based Test (CBT) 2, set for March 19-20, 2025. The exam will fill vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Junior Engineer (JE) positions. CBT 1 results are being finalized, with shortlisted candidates to be published soon. Admit cards will be available 4 days before the exam.
