Canada tightens immigration rules: Study, work permits now easier to revoke

Canada has introduced stricter immigration regulations, granting officials broader powers to revoke temporary resident documents, including study and work permits. Effective from January 31, 2025, the changes aim to curb fraud, enhance border security, and uphold the integrity of temporary residence programmes. The amendments allow officers to annul permits in cases of misrepresentation, administrative errors, or security concerns.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results for the Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) 2024 examination. A total of 2,145 candidates have successfully cleared Paper-I and will now appear for Paper-II (Descriptive).
