The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura, has extended the admission deadline for round 3 of the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. Candidates can now apply until February 15, 2025, through dme.tripura.gov.in. The stray vacancy round will require fresh choices, and only candidates without existing seats can participate. Applicants failing to join an allotted seat in the stray vacancy round face a one-year NEET PG exam ban.

The UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2025 allows 3,000 Indian nationals aged 18-30 with bachelor’s degrees to live, work, and study in the UK for up to two years. Applications involve an online ballot, and selected candidates can apply for a visa, subject to meeting financial and eligibility criteria.

A former Tripura government official, Kaizar Debbarma, was arrested for allegedly cheating a Noida-based educational institution by providing fake documents for land acquisition. The director of the institution paid Rs 1.25 crore for the land, later discovering the documents were forged. The investigation is ongoing.

The UPSC has introduced changes to the 2025 Civil Services Exam application system following technical glitches reported by candidates. Editable fields, such as name changes, gender, and Class 10 roll number, are now allowed in the One-Time Registration (OTR). The correction window will open from February 19 to 25. The registration deadline has been extended to February 18, 2025.

Schools in West Bengal will be closed on February 13-14, 2025, due to Shab-e-Barat and Panchanan Barma Jayanti. Telangana schools will be on break from February 14-16, 2025, because of Shab-e-Barat, Sant Sewalal Maharaj Jayanti, and a weekend holiday, providing students and teachers time for celebrations and observances.

The Supreme Court ruled that no child should be discriminated against in education, addressing a plea to grant Rohingya refugees access to public schools and hospitals. The court sought details on their settlement and living conditions in Delhi, emphasising that refugees with UNHCR cards should not be denied services due to the lack of Aadhaar cards.

RSMSSB CET Graduation Level Result 2024 Declared: The RSMSSB has declared the CET Graduation Level Result 2024, listing the roll numbers of candidates who qualified for the September 2024 exam. Qualified candidates, meeting the respective category cut-offs, must proceed to document verification as the next step in the selection process.
